"The fastest, cleanest, most joyful way to break out of your own box is by dancing. I'm not talking about doing the stand-and-sway. I'm talking about dancing so deep, so hard, so full of the beat that you are nothing but the dance + the beat + the sweat + the heat." G.Roth

UPCOMING OUTDOOR WORKSHOP

‘commUNITY’
JULY 16th
11:00am - 4:00pm
$75 - $100 sliding scale

Let us come together in community. Let us see each other and be seen. Let us back each other up, and support each other to be all that we can be. Let's celebrate spring, and the fact that we can dance together again, in community.
In this workshop, we will explore the theme of what it means to be in ‘commUnity’ together. What part of being in community feeds you? What are your unique gifts that you have to offer your community? When do you feel part of a community, and what stops you or blocks you from feeling like you belong? These are some of the questions of inquiry we will explore as we move through this day together. We will use the map of the 5Rhythms® practice, as well as other tools such as journaling, meditation, and ritual theatre.
This is sure to be a deep, rich, engaging experience, and one that will leave you feeling nourished at a deep soul level, and connected to others in your community.
Registration is now open.
Please register via email: plotkin.julie@gmail.com
Please reach out if you have any questions about the day and our time together.
Lastly, no one is turned away for lack of funds, so please connect with me if you need financial assistance.

Gathering for Conscious Dance
Olympia, Washington
July 8 - 10, 2022

Join me in the 16th Annual Gathering of Conscious Dance. This is a weekend of conscious dance movement, taught my different practitioners from different movement modalities. This years' Gathering will be featuring 5Rhythms® and Open Floor® teachers. There will be a communal dinner on Saturday evening. This is a great way to drop into your practice, while at the same time exploring new teachings and teachers. And I have space in my car if anyone wants to drive with me, just get in touch!

A workshop is an invitation to deepen your practice. Workshops are rich, inspiring, often transformative experiences. They provide an opportunity to experience the 5Rhythms in a more in-depth way, using a variety of tools. While movement and dance remain the dominant activity, a workshop usually taps into other modalities as well. These may include: meditation, writing/journalling, witnessing exercises, sharing (talking) exercises, drawing/colouring, other crafts, ritual theatre, and being outside in nature, to name a few!
A workshop creates a safe container for participants to become intimate and vulnerable with each other, which lays the groundwork for the richest, most meaningful experiences. Workshops are not for the faint of heart - they are designed for those who have a willingness to peel back layers of themselves, to explore authentic movement in a committed way, to show up exactly how they are and be honest with themselves and the group.
A workshop can take many forms - it may be a full weekend, a single day, a 3-4 hour afternoon, or a 5- or 6-week series. Workshops may be fully catered, or self-catered, they can be held at residential retreat centres, or be non-residential. The possibilities for a workshop are endless! If you are interested in hosting a workshop in your area, you can!

Feel free to contact me to plan a workshop in your community. I love travelling, and I look forward to hearing from you.
